It's no secret that I love Old Town Alexandria, VA, commercial real estate. This is where BPG Holdings' office is that we operate out of, it's where my favorite coffee shop in all of the area, yes, DC and VA, Misha's Coffeehouse is, and it's where I believe some of the best retail growth will occur over the next 10 years. A hidden gem, as some would say.

But if you are a business owner, 2026 should be the year that you buy your business location. The place you operate out of. This becomes not only an asset on your balance sheet, but also a recruiting tool for talent as you continue to grow. If nothing else, it's a tax play and you will wake up 10 years from now with great appreciation (if you buy the right asset in the right location).
So this week's "What Would Cassidy Buy" features 3 recommendations for areas that I believe you could utilize the space for your business location (primarily office-based spaces) and have the ABILITY to offset monthly expenses by leasing out additional spaces to other businesses.
