If you've been consistent with my blog, you know I love Charleston, SC. The good thing is, so does everyone else. The population continues to rank in the top 10 of the most moved-to locations since 2020, and very little development is occurring due to strict regulations.
What does that mean for real estate investors? Increased demand.
My philosophy has also changed. I used to buy everything based on cost per door or "basis," especially in multifamily real estate. However, not all investments need to be based on price. Legacy or trophy assets in great locations, in my opinion, have a better chance for future appreciation. Yes, you have to have the cash to invest, but if you can get into one of these trophy assets and hold it for the long term, you will make a lot of money.
Here are three trophy assets I would love to own on the peninsula in Charleston, SC.

Happy investing!
